The Garden Route – the name given to the stretch of forested, coastal area between Mossel Bay and Port Elizabeth – is the brightly – colored cherry on this southern slice of Africa.All along the Garden Route, spectacular mountain ranges dip and rise alongside a rugged coastline whose cliffs, estuaries, placid lakes and endless pristine sandy – white beaches are lapped by the Indian Ocean.

 

DAY 1: We depart at about 08h00 from your hotel in Cape Town and via the Du Toits Kloof Mountain pass to Oudtshoorn the Ostrich capital.The journey takes us through the little Karoo where you will observe the scenery changing from lush greens to brown semi – desert areas making this a day of surprises.We visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch to learn more about crocodile, cheetah, reptiles and the other animals onsite, with a chance to view cheetah, tiger, lion, puma and jaguar.

DAY 2: After breakfast, e visit the world famous Cango Caves where we take a guided tour – full of fascinating things to see.From the Cango Caves we travel to an Ostrich farm on the other end of Oudtshoorn where you will receive a tour of a working Ostrich farm and possibly the opportunity to ride an ostrich

DAY 3 : Today after breakfast we visit Plettenberg Bay and the Knysna heads before spending some leisure time at the Knysna Waterfront where you will be able to do some shopping.After lunch we head for Cape Town via Mosselbay and passing the rolling hills of Swellendam to arrive in Cape town at about 17h00.

DAY 1 – MOSSEL BAY: Mossel Bay is one of the big attractions on the Garden Route.Discovered by Bartholomew Dias in 1488/Dias museum & old Post Office Tree/Replica of Bartholmew Dias Caravel/The Granary & Shell Museum/Dinner

DAY 2 – TSITSIKAMMA: Tsitsikamma is an area known for its indigenous forest, deep river gorges and magnificent coastline/Nature Valley & the big tree/Monkeyland & Birds of Eden/Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve

DAY 3 – OUDTSHOORN: The town of Oudtshoorn, situated in the Klein Karoo is home to South Africa`s ostrich farm industry and the world famous Cango Caves/Ostrich farms/Cango Wildlife Reserve.

DAY 4 – KNYSNA/PLETTENBERG BAY: Knysna, situated between lush forest and a lagoon offers a variety of activities and attractions/Knysna Heads & waterfront/Plettenberg Bay & Robberg Peninsula.
